What makes a good marketing design?
- The design must look good. Unattractive or visually poor work loses your audience. You have less than 1 second to impress, and the visual impact is critical here.
- The design must do more than just look good. It must encourage the vistor or audience to do something; this may just be remember your brand, but it may be to make a contact or purchase.
- Different media have different characteristics. For example people read a printed brochure and a website in a different way. This means the best designed brochures and best designed websites will not look the same. In fact if your website and brochure look the same in terms of layout, you know at least one of them is poor!
